Locked out of iphone but cant properly reset

(English is not my first language)

I got locked out permanently of my old iphone while trying to transfer its data to a new phone and had to reset it. I thought, ok, yeah, fine, but after I enter my email password and it cleans I realize I cant fully reset it as the home button no longer works. And the startup requires pressing the home button to begin. Is there anything I can do? Will I just have to wait for support to verify me or something?
