Pregnancy and Working Full Time as an RD
a vent/seeking advice.
I am 31 years old, 23 weeks pregnant with my first child, and working full time as an RD in an outpatient practice. I currently am experiencing extreme burnout from work. It feels like my body and mind are already demanding so much of me with pregnancy, it is so hard to care or be present at work and counsel my patients. I also feel like I have lost all patience for my patients that show up late or no show. My fuse just keeps growing smaller and smaller. I also have no motivation to cook. After work I am so burnt out that I just want take out all the time. It is already so hard with the societal pressure of body image during pregnancy - I feel so guilty eating more food and not eating perfectly balanced meals all the time like I know I should. I just have no energy. My husband is thankfully an angel and helps me with so much, I just am struggling internally with all of this and was wondering if any other RD's struggled with this too
