I’m in a pickle….
So yesterday I had a focal onset seizure and then this morning I had a small tonic Clonic (took my rescue meds “Ativan”) and was able to come to reality before napping again.
I have since felt foggy all day basically as if my brain is heavily lagging behind and I’m just not sure I can handle real world issue today…. This brings me to my issue…
My girlfriend has to go renew her drivers license and she said she wants me to come with her. I told her I’m out of it right now and don’t want to sit uncomfortably in a licensing office while she does this, I’d rather relax at home with my dog. She said “she needs someone to go with her” and I simply asked “why thats the case? It’s a pretty simple thing to do and doesn’t take a team..” she then started getting angry and said she doesn’t feel comfortable doing it alone… I just asked again “well why is that? Have you had bad experiences?” And she said that “shes always had someone with her to do it” and I just said “well it’s a pretty simple process. You go in, take a picture,
Sign documents and leave”. I truly could not understand why I had to be there. She then started getting angry and saying “im just not listening” and I continued to say “no I just don’t understand, im sorry” to which she stomped upstairs and this is where it gets kinda sad…
So last year I suffered severe status Epilepticus where I almost died. My memory short term and long term has not been well since and I’m suffering PTSD from the event that I’m fighting through, but it is very tough. After this whole fight I just kinda broke down after she left the room. Basically blaming myself for not understanding better, hating my brain for making me so anxious, and repeating over and over “I just didn’t understand” as tears rolled down my face.
How the fuck do I handle this?
