What is a Habesha Kemis?
The Habesha kemis is a traditional dress worn by Ethiopian and Eritrean women, especially for weddings, holidays, cultural celebrations, and other special occasions. Traditional designs often feature handwoven cotton fabric with colorful woven borders and embroidery.
There are also many modern versions today that combine the traditional look with contemporary cuts and designs. I recently got mine from habeshadress.store and was interested in learning more about the different styles. There are so many variations depending on the region, occasion, and personal preference.
