Are hinge scratches unavoidable with or without cases

Considering using the Samsung hybrid shield case on the F8 ultra but a post shared on here shows that the hinge protection on this case can scratch the phone hinge, due to rough materials being used.

I'm wondering if most cases with hinge protection will end up doing this, so whether it's really avoidable?

And of course if you don't use a case at all, or hinge protection, are you likely to scratch the hinge anyway?

The appeal of this particular case is that it is one piece and covers everything whilst adding minimal bulk. Just the issue that the material inside will likely scratch the hinge.
