As someone who’s always disliked paying for chairs and went for the cheaper alternative, I will say I should have invested earlier into a better chair. I had a budget of $200 I was willing to spend either a bit over would be fine but ideally around that price.
I always heard about the top favorites such as Colamy and was willing to take the dive despite it being above my budget. But I decided to wait and research a bit more when I saw the ProtoArc Ec200.
It was under the $200 budget I have and I will say it blew my expectations out of the water. Total cost ending up being $162 as website lists it for $180 and you can use a 10% discount code. The adjustability this chair has in comparison to other chairs in the market is insane. It has seat depth that actually helps (as someone with shorter legs I prefer it all the way back), back support that you can change the height and aggressiveness using the bottom knob, seat recline tilt lock for productivity and lounging, and most importantly (the thing I always complain about my previous chairs) a comfortable and 3 way adjustable (tilt up and down, move up and down, forward and back) head rest. Not to mention that while the seat is on the firmer side, it has a little bounce to it that allows for it to still remain comfortable after sitting on it for hours.
I am aware that people are able to find a ton of amazing deals off used chairs, but my area does not. In terms of a new purchase, this was honestly one investment that I wished I had bought sooner rather than previous cheaper chairs that weren’t as comfortable to start with and ending up degrading after less than a year of use.
