Non-requested PW recovery link emails…

I’ve been getting multiple weekly/daily pw recovery emails on one of my IG accounts I changed my password, continued to get them and then disabled the account and I’m still getting them

My questions are 1) I know a few months ago there was a scam account recovery email going around that looked legit.. does anyone know what to look for to separate the scam email from a legit one bc the one I am getting looks incredibly legit so idk if this is a scam or a bot

2. how is a bot trying to log into a disabled account?

Since Ive disabled the account and changed the pw i don’t know what else to do to protect my account and quit the emails / log in attempts
