Ik the sub right now is kind of toxic with "complaining" about SM2 but I think it's ok to criticize things you love. I'm sure everyone spent a good deal playing SM2, it's not a bad game by any stretch of the imagination, but it doesn't feel like a better game either. With that out of the way here's some things i noticed just about the world design.

Almost all of the pictures shown here are in Harlem alone found in like 2 mins of swinging, there's so many more examples. The character, grit, and realism in this game are unmatched. I love the laundry hanging from the clotheslines and the rugged look of the buildings, the messy graffiti making fun of jameson and tags on buildings. I miss the cops, and immersive crimes in stores, the police radio chatter and cops driving buy, dirty rooftops and streets, homeless camps, and boarded up windows and broken fences. At some crimes there were bugle camera crews and citizens behind police boards and theyd ask spidey for a comment. It made the city feel so alive.

Also during crimes and shootouts cop cars and ambulances would pull up to the scene and fight with you, and the demons would blow up the cars as you're fighting. Also the crimes were so immersive like when criminals would grab a random civilian and hold them hostage and you have to do a QTE to save them, or you beat up the robbers too quickly so they run in different directions. I feel like this game was made with a lot more love than SM2, think about the social media page and the Jameson podcasts that didn't shy away from being vulgar at times i mean it's new york gang.

On top of that this game felt more mature. For example when martin lee corrupts Morgan Michaels and makes him shoot himself, or when tombstone kills his henchmen and tells him to shoot him. Even when you play as miles and the demons are just relentlessly killing people in front of you. It added more stakes, the language and dialogue was more realistic and just superior imo.

SM2 just feels very overly clean and perfect, no police, no SWAT, a 90% of the crimes gone (this is a fact). I see a lot of people saying "corporate" and I can't help but agree. Idk lmk your thoughts. We all love spiderman i feel like that's why people are so passionate about how they feel about SM2 especially since it was so expensive. Nobody talks bad about the first 2 entries because they really felt like they were made with love for the fans.

Realism in Spiderman PS4...
