Essentially the title. Our room is 11 feet and four inches by 15 feet, but there’s a square jut-out that’s roughly 6 square feet, and it shooooould be a fairly even square from the photos I could find (I just didn’t feel comfortable posting an actual photo of the real dorm). I think it’s fair, because one side gets (most) of the window, but much less floor space. Whereas the other side gets less window, but more floor. If I did my math right, I think it’s roughly 73 square feet on the window side versus 96 on the other side. Each person gets a bed (but we aren’t allowed to loft higher than 30 inches), a dresser, a nightstand, a desk, and a wardrobe. We also each get a fridge, but that’s just because I get to have an extra fridge because I need allergy shots (by a cruel twist of fate, I am going into environmental earth science while being allergic to like three grasses and twenty thousand trees) and the vials need to be cooled. Hence, extra fridge. Additionally, though I’d wait until arriving to ensure everything fits good, I’d probably buy one of those taller crate shelves to store cleaning supplies for the both of us. But that’s neither here nor there, just a hypothetical.

Personally, I’d choose the smaller window section for myself because I hate super open spaces and how empty they feel, and I adore watching the weather and listening to the birds and crickets from windows.

But I wanted to see the people’s opinion, and see if I’ve grossly miscalculated something lol. Of course I’m also asking my roommate, because her opinion matters just as much as mine, but yeah

Would this be a fair setup?
