Is hair removal impossible for me?
I'm 22M, I rarely if ever use reddit, but I'm at my very wits end. I've been trying to remove all facial/bodyhair to have smooth skin for the past few years, but literally all my methods don't work at all or are just straight up torture.
Shaving leaves behind horrible razor burn, makes me cut and bleed in multiple areas, makes me itchy, takes literal hours, and to stop the stubbles from being visible and to become even remotely smooth has to be done every 12-24 hours (face every 6-12 hours because my facial hair literally grows back at the speed of light), and even then after I shave the stubbles are still visible and I have cuts and razor burns all over my face even after using shaving cream, liquid bandage over the cuts, aftershave, and an expensive bottle of face moisturizer.
Hair removal cream can really only work on legs and chest, but requires very precise techniques to make the coat of the cream even and still some hairs just don't wanna be removed and stay for some reason after I scrape the others away with the spatula, and require A LOT of cream (and again has to be done every 12-24 hours because it grows back fast)
I recently started using an epilator (I bought and have been using silk-épil 7 on Amazon for 2-3 weeks) and oh my God I feels like I am getting captured and tortured. Epilation on the crotch area, arm pit, chest area and facial hair literally feel like I'm being stabbed/shot and 95% of the hairs get snapped, not plucked, essentially turning it into a razor for masochists. I've done hours of research on how to solve this because this seemed the most promising and I've tried every to stop the snapping. Literally everything: Stretch skin tight, hold device at 90° angle, keep hair short but not too short, go against the grain, exfoliate 24 hours before, clean the tweaser mechanism with the provided brush, don't epilate everyday if you see you missed a hair and instead do it every 1-2 weeks, don't apply too much pressure, move the device slowly, epilate after taking a hot bath, everything under the sun, but still I see no bulbs on most epilated hairs and I can still see the stubbles, AND EVEN THEN, when I managed to get my facial hair epilated on my first try (which actually worked for some reason), i saw it grew back within 1 week instead of 2-4 weeks and when I epilated again, 0 of my facial hair got plucked this time, every single hair got snapped because I saw it growing back out the next morning, even though the shafts are thick and not fine hair. Maybe could this be the device is getting weaker or less effective? Also, if the hair I have is very thin, that 95% jumps to 100%. Not a single fine hair I have has been successfully epilated, including after I've done everything that's mentioned above. And to put the cherry on top, it caused there to be many ingrown hairs that grew parallel to the skin, which has never been a problem before. I've done some research and some people say that if this is my situation that epilation is simply impossible because my hair follicles are too deep and too strong and I'm just torturing myself.
Waxing is just epilation but messier and even less effective. I pressed down firmly on longer hair, pilled parallel to the skin and only removed 50% of the hair underneath it, caused extreme pain and left behind 100% of fine hairs.
Tweasing is only for small patches of hairs
I don't wanna do at home laser hair removal because It's apparently just temporary instead of permanent and requires shaving which I don't wanna do again if it doesn't result in long term or permanent removal like plucking them does.
Professional laser hair removal is my only option but costs thousands of dollars which in this economy is only a pipedream
Please help, I'm starting to loose hope in the fact that hair removal is even possible
