Beginner in UPSC prep: confused between Vajiram, VisionIAS. Need honest reviews
Hi everyone!
I’m planning to start dedicated UPSC preparation and join an offline GS + CSAT classroom programme in Delhi from 25-30 August 2026. I’m currently confused between Vajiram & Ravi and VisionIAS (also open to any other institute if you think there’s a better option)
A little about my background: I’m a 4-year BA graduate from DU with Geography major & History minor. I’ve read NCERTs for most of the subjects before, although it was quite some time ago, so I have some basic familiarity with the subjects but I’m essentially a beginner when it comes to dedicated UPSC preparation, answer writing, test practice etc.
I’m particularly considering the Vajiram & Ravi 11-month GS + CSAT programme starting 25 August 2026 (2:30 PM batch). I’d really appreciate honest reviews from people who have actually attended these institutes🙏🏻 preferably recent/current students.
Things I’m especially interested in:
- Faculty and teaching quality
- How beginner-friendly the classes are
- Prelims + Mains integration
- Current affairs/classes and study material
- Mentorship and doubt support
- Whether the workload is manageable alongside self-study
- Biggest pros/cons of the institute
- And most importantly, if you had to choose again, would you join the same institute?
I’d really appreciate first-hand experiences and honest criticism, especially from people who joined in the last 1–2 years.
If you were in my position, would you choose Vajiram, Vision or something else? And why?
Thanks! 🙏
