Would God come down and see me if I was a more devote follower and I asked Him?

is there anything in the bible that points one way or another, what he would do? I know about entertaining angels unaware. Do you think it’s possible that we have talked to God and not known it? Is there anything in the bible that says he doesnt make personal visits anymore because I’ve heard people say that but how could we know for sure? I don’t think I’ve read that anywhere. I recently heard people say that God has never left his throne. That when people had encounters with God that was Jesus. can anyone verify this? I want to do something for him but I want to do it in person.
