Is Yunnan worth visiting for my first time in China? 3 week itinerary.

Hello friends,

I will be traveling to China with my Wife for about 3-4 weeks in Mid October as part of a larger 5 -week trip to Asia. This will be our first time in China! We are very excited, but would like some suggestions on our itinerary. We enjoy food, nature and, cities. We are also very flexible with the amount of time we spend in China since we have a 30 day travel visa, so we are open to doing anything from 20 days to 30 days.

We are having a hard time deciding if we have time or not to go to Yunnan for this trip. It seems a bit out of the way, but the landscape looks amazing.

We have 2 rough options so far and would like your thoughts

A:

• Beijing 5 Nights
• Xian 4 Nights
• Chengdu / Chongqing 4 Nights
• Zhangjiajie 4 Nights
• Shanghai 5 Nights

Total 22 Nights

B:

• Beijing 4 Nights
• Xian 3 Nights
• Chengdu / Chongqing 4 Nights
• Yunnan 10 Nights
• Shanghai 4 Nights

Total 25 Nights

Any other advice or suggestions that you can provide for other nature spots? We would like a "break" from the cities and have time to slow down and explore nature.
