So I’ve been watching a bunch of videos online about how to do this. I picked out this one because it’s nice big and sturdy. Plus I have a friend who absolutely loves the hunger games books and she’s always done nice little crafts for me and such. I thought this would be a nice present for her, even if it doesn’t turn out great. I understand that I have to get some sandpaper, PVG glue, mesh, and a bunch of other things. But here’s basically my plan for if I start this, and it actually turns out to be pretty good.

I figured once a month or so I would go to a Goodwill or some thrift store and I would find a beat up copy of a book that looks like I could use a second life. I found a video of how to do this on a budget so I’m gonna start off with those, but then once I start getting really good at them, then I’m going to move on to higher quality materials.

Once I “master“ the skills, and I have a nicely rebound book, but it’s not really a book. I want to keep, I was thinking, maybe donating them to those little libraries they have scattered around my hometown. I’m not sure I can actually sell these, and I don’t know if my local bookstores will buy them back from me, but it’d be a nice little charity thing to do.

Does it seem like a good idea? Also, I will accept any advice for beginners.
