Question about breaking screen

Hello all,

I would love a flip8, but hesitant due to me dropping my Motorola flip, cracking the screen and just binning it rather than bother with the expensive repair.

I want it because it's small, so would rather not bulk it out with cases etc.

If I added those see through screen protectors, will that make it durable?
