Borderline and not officially diagnosed
So I took my 3 hour test last week and passed all of the draws, but my 1 and 2 hour levels were close to the cutoffs (179 with cutoff of 180 on the one hour, 152 with cutoff of 155 at the two hour). My baby is also measuring big.
I had my normal doctors appointment yesterday, and I mentioned I should maybe track my sugars and be generally more careful with my diet for a while to make sure I truly don’t have the diagnosis since I was so close to the cut off. My doctor was baffled by this, and kept saying “but you passed.” I also mentioned my baby measuring big (89th percentile as of a growth ultrasound at 26 weeks) and he said “well not that big.”
So my question is this: if you were in this position, would you test for a while just to be safe? I just feel like it’s better to be safe than sorry, but now I’m second guessing myself.
