Pink lump on my dog’s gums

I found a pink lump completely covering (or replacing) the tooth right behind my dog’s k9 on the left side of his mouth. He’s about 7 ish and a Newfoundland & poodle mix. Should I be concerned? (I have pictures it just won’t let me post with pictures). I might just be a dumbass though, thanks!
