Transferring data from old iphone 8 plus to samsung A57

Hello,

I recently bought a brand new samsung A57 and now I want to transfer all the data from my old iphone to this new phone. Since the iphone 8 plus uses a lightning port and the A57 an USB-C, would using a lighting to USB-C cable be my only option to transfer all data or is there an alternative without using this specific cable?

I know there is also a wireless option to transfer data, but I have heard that it's worse than using a cable because the connection could be unstable and it's alot slower. Also I am not sure if the iphone 8 plus even supports this, since it's a pretty old phone.
