37- F4F - UK - possibly demi, grey-ace, looking for a slow-burn connection

Hi! I’m 37F in Essex UK, trying to figure out if I sit somewhere on the ace spectrum. I think demi or grey-ace feel right but I’m not sure yet.

Due to various reasons which I would be happy to talk to somebody about when we are chatting, I have not yet had any sexual experience and only recently figured out that I am a lesbian. I know I can experience sexual attraction and desire under some circumstances, but whether I want to act on that is unknown due to lack of opportunity!

I would love to find a woman I can get to know slowly, without sex being an expectation at a certain point. I’m thinking coffee, walks, spending time together and seeing what develops naturally once we know each other better, whether that be physical or not.

About me: I’m a secondary school teacher, autistic/ADHD, a cat person (one tuxedo son/overlord), and generally introverted and much more at home with quiet days out than bars or clubs. I like charity shops, walks, coffee, comedy, aviation, and getting extremely invested in random subjects. I’m very happy listening to someone enthusiastically tell me about whatever niche thing they love.

I’m also plus size (currently around a UK 20) with a soft body, because I’d rather be upfront about that than have either of us wondering whether physical attraction will be an issue later. I’m comfortable sharing photos once we’ve talked for a while. I’m not looking for pity or empathy here, I just want to be realistic.

I tend to be drawn to women a little older than me, but that’s not a hard requirement. I’m more interested in warmth, curiosity, emotional intelligence and feeling comfortable around someone than ticking boxes.

Ideally I’d like to find someone close by, or at least close enough that meeting up is realistic if we click. I’m looking for something monogamous and potentially romantic rather than just platonic, although I’d want to take my time getting there.
