Absolutely upset about Kurt outcome
Kurt has always been the voice of reason, forgiveness, compassion, love and hope (faith).
His presence often overshadowed Xavier's compassion and teachings.
Kurt was always divine in his behavior. Wholesome and honestly, exemplary.
I asked the voice actors of Beast and Wolverine, why did X-men get so dark with the death of Gambit?
He told me the show is a reflection of how dark the world currently is.
I get that but I can't stomach Kurt's death.
Kurt was wonderful at Gambit's funeral. Kurt also embraced his sister Rogue with such love.
I understand his sacrifice, a type of agape love.
But this is possibly the worst outcome for the defeat of Apocalypse.
The ending deflated me. I was left feeling upset.
Much like the death of Magneto where he had finally repented from his ways and sacrificed himself for others.
Rogue lost it when she initially thought Magneto was dead and that Remy had died.
In Kurt's case, she just accepted it without protest of any kind.
I noticed a definite shift in the writing of the first season show and this one.
There wasn't the intrigue, the intensity of the first show. There wasn't a feeling of immensity of the sacrifice of Kurt and Magneto. Did no one care except Charles for Magneto's death?
Some filler episodes were fun but this season felt deflated and the apocalypse arc was already done in Xmen 92 where he possesses Corsair.
The only thing that left me questioning things is what the Celestial said about there being consequences of a cosmic order.
Very bummed out by Kurt's death.
