The style I'm going for is a traditional kitchen with a modern touch. I've fallen in love with **Parriot Elegant Shaker Oak Mocha** cabinets (photo attached), I love the extra detail on the shaker style doors and the medium walnut stain, I think they’ll look awesome in my mid-century house. The quality also looks pretty good, the website says the boxes are made from plywood and the doors and frames are solid American white oak. The hardware is also soft close which is a bonus. I’ve haven’t found many places that sell this style of cabinet though.

They gave me two quotes:
**$9,100** for cabinets/materials only need to double check
**$10,100** for materials + installation
That's definitely higher than my original budget, although it's not wildly off considering today's prices.
The only downside is that the mocha cabinets aren't stocked locally like the rest of their cabinets, so I'd be waiting about a week for them to arrive.

**Kitchen:** \~$7,000
**Bathroom:** \~$5,000
I've spent the last few weeks reading remodeling threads, and one piece of advice I keep seeing is,*"Whatever budget and timeline you have in mind, double the cost and triple the time."* I'm hoping that isn't completely true since I'm on a bit of a time crunch, but I'm trying to set realistic expectations.

**Kitchen**
I've been working with Stone & Cabinet Outlet in Portland, and so far they've been great to deal with. They answered my calls and emails quickly, and they actually designed my kitchen while I was in the showroom in about 40 minutes (layout attached).

**For anyone who's remodeled recently:**
Does that pricing seem reasonable for the layout?
Am I getting a fair deal, or should I keep shopping around?
Has anyone here worked with Stone & Cabinet Outlet? They don't have a ton of Google reviews, so I'd love to hear some firsthand experiences.

**Bathroom**
The bathroom honestly needs everything replaced.
The tub is stained, the laminate vanity is bubbling and falling apart, and the hardwood floor is cracked in several places. It's...not exactly inspiring.
The same showroom also sells bathroom materials. I originally found one of their clearance vanities on Facebook Marketplace, but someone bought it before I could get there. Fortunately, they put together a similar setup for me.
They quoted me **$700** for the vanity, countertop, and sink, which seemed like a pretty good deal.
They also had shower pans for around **$350**. I compared them to some similar options at Home Depot, which are a little cheaper, but the reviews there seem pretty mixed when it comes to long-term durability if the installation isn't perfect.
For flooring, I'm planning on using **porcelain tile** from Home Depot since I can get it for around **$2/sq. ft.**

**My Questions**
Does the kitchen quote sound fair?
Has anyone had experience with Stone & Cabinet Outlet?
Are there any budget-friendly cabinet suppliers or remodeling stores around Portland that you'd recommend?
Would you buy the bathroom materials from them, or piece everything together from places like Home Depot, Lowe's, or elsewhere?
If anyone knows of cabinet styles similar to the Oak Mocha shaker cabinets, I'd love to see them.
This is my first remodel, so I'm trying to avoid making expensive mistakes. Any advice, recommendations, or lessons learned would be greatly appreciated!
