Client has a logical understanding of issues, just not a logical one?
Advice for how to help a client who recognizes his challenges and where they stem from, but is struggling to engage in recifying or processing them? For example, client understands why he is so sensitive to criticism from his partner (it's primarliy due to childhood trauma from his parents) and understands that his parents were wrong, etc. But he continues to "spiral" and struggles to maintain changes in how he acts on and perceives criticism, even though he fully understands why, where it comes from, why it's harmful, etc, and even logically knows all the cognitive exercises to deflect it. It's just not stopping him from spiraling anyway. Any advice on techniques or interventions would be appreciated!! Perhaps IFS?
