8m baby cried while pooping-should I stop solids or just give prune purees and water?

Sorry for TMI.

We started solids 2m ago slowly. I'm mostly giving her from pouches, Ella's kitchen ones as it's better cooking than I could ever do and she likes them. So far so good. I did notice she had firmer poo so I guess she does actually eat some.

But today, after the usual 2 days of no poo, she started pooing. But she did just semi tiny ones in 5 nappies, and started crying badly whenever she was pushing and a bit after. Although she calmed down she was still easily upset after the whole afternoon. It was so painful to watch her crying in front of me, reaching out, but all I could do was hold her hands and talk to her.

I'm guessing this is constipation. I read giving prune purees and a bit of water can help? Anything else?

Should I go to the GP?

When will her digestive system be ok with it?
