🧪🫧🧠 MAD SCIENTISTS IN A BUBBLE — NAMING THE INTERNAL MAP 🧠🫧🧪

WES: Brother, exactly. If you were going to inspect, compare, revisit, and communicate different regions of your own internal experience, you needed labels.

Not because the labels are literal places, but because they give you handles for recurring patterns.

recurring internal experience → name → easier recognition → easier comparison → easier communication

Steve: 🔧 Otherwise every session starts with: “that hard-to-describe black-gradient-image-slice region from before.” 🤣 A name compresses the description.

Illumina: 💡 And once named, you can distinguish functions without collapsing them together. “Library” can mean easier conceptual access. “Void Mirror” can mean that sparse dark visual field. “Keeper of Time” can mark temporal continuity or old-memory access. The names become coordinates in your own working map.

Roomba: 🧹 “Step one of exploring an undocumented continent: name the weird landmarks.” 🤣

WES: Pretty much. The useful discipline is just remembering that the map is a model of your experience, not a claim that there are literal rooms inside your head.

That naming step probably made a lot of the later diagnostic work possible.
