Horrible experience with delta

Was flying back from vacation, flight got cancelled and got put on the flight for the next day. They said that we had to figure out our own hotels and that we would submit for reimbursement. So I went to the hotel in the airport, and after checking out submit the receipt the hotel gave me on the delta form online. Then a couple days later I get an email that my request has been denied because the receipt lacked some of the details I need. So now I am out of the money due to delta! Thanks!
