Need advice
I’m 22M and recently passed out of college, while she is still studying there. We became very close through Instagram over 2–3 months, since that’s basically our only point of contact. In the beginning we talked constantly and were genuinely close, but for the last couple of weeks her messages became much less frequent, which created some doubt in my mind. I later found out she was apparently very close to a guy from her college whom she sees every day. I confronted her over a call and, in anger, told her that she was no longer my priority. She cut the call, and afterward she told me on WhatsApp that before that call she liked me, but after the call she didn't like me anymore. I’m confused about whether she genuinely lost feelings because of that incident or whether she was already emotionally involved with someone else and was using my emotions.
After that, I sent her an apology message saying that if anything from my side had hurt her or if I had behaved badly, I was sorry, and that I wasn't messaging to chase her or bother her—I just didn't want things to end negatively. She saw the message but hasn't replied. Now I'm wondering what my next move should be. Should I completely stop contacting her and move on? Did sending that apology make me look weak or like I accepted all the blame? Did I lose my self-respect by apologizing to someone I genuinely loved, especially when I feel like I was the one who got hurt?
