20 with only a Checking Account and Student Credit Card, what accounts should I look into?

Other

For some context: I’m currently a full-time college student with a signed temporary part-time retail job (I average around 27–38 hours some weeks + paid bi-weekly). I don’t have any major bills since I live with my parents, and I’m not in any credit card debt since my classes are covered by scholarships, so I’m mainly just saving.

I’m wondering what accounts I should look into opening?
(+ Should I look into getting a Financial Advisor?)

I tried asking family, but both of my parents are pretty bad with finances. My mom doesn’t really know much about banking at all, and fully relies on my father to handle both of their finances and credit. My dad’s credit score is so bad that he fully relies on my mom’s credit score.
I had been told to only use around 30% of my credit card each month (my student card has a $500 limit).
I am currently stumped on where to go next since close resources haven’t been too helpful, so any tips or suggestions on what to do are extremely appreciated!
