If you are considering buying a Motorola phone, I strongly recommend checking the brand’s after-sales service and replacement experiences before making your decision. My personal experience has been extremely disappointing, and after this experience, I personally would not want to buy another Motorola phone.

I purchased a Motorola Edge 70 for around ₹27,000 from Flipkart. On the very first day, I noticed visible fog/condensation around the camera lens while recording videos.

I took the camera-fogging video proof to Motorola’s authorized service centre. I was told that DOA/replacement would not be provided and that if a proper job sheet was required, the brand-new phone would have to be opened for inspection.

I was also told that if the fogging was caused by some gel/material inside the camera, it could be removed and the phone could then be returned to me.

I am not a technician, so I am not claiming to know the exact technical cause of the fogging. My concern is simple:

I paid around ₹27,000 for a brand-new phone. Why should I have to take it to a service centre on Day 1 and have the new device opened instead of getting a replacement for a defect that appeared immediately after delivery?

I also contacted Flipkart. They asked me to provide the service-centre job sheet and have now forwarded my case to their specialist team.

As of now, my issue is still unresolved and I still do not have a replacement.

The most frustrating part is that instead of simply using the new phone I paid for, I have had to deal with a camera defect, service-centre visits, and a replacement dispute from the very first day.

So to Indian buyers: before buying a Motorola phone, please check the brand’s after-sales service and replacement experiences carefully.

And if you are still considering Motorola, especially if you are planning to buy through Flipkart, check the seller, replacement terms and service-centre process carefully before placing your order.

If you don't believe my experience, that's completely fine. Search Reddit, X/Twitter and Instagram yourself and look at other Indian customers' experiences with Motorola. Make your own decision based on what you find.

I am not claiming that every Motorola phone will have the same problem. I am sharing my own ₹27,000 Day-1 experience so that another buyer doesn't end up in the same situation.

If anyone else has experienced camera fogging/condensation or a similar replacement/service-centre issue with Motorola, please share your experience.
