Worried about my teenager's nutrition
My son is 13. Somehow he takes 45 minutes to get ready in the morning for school but spares himself no time to eat. Our mornings have become alarm ignored, shower takes forever, can't find backpack, suddenly we're supposed to be out the door in five minutes. I've tried making actual breakfasts, overnight oats, smoothies but half of it ends up untouched in the fridge because apparently he's "not hungry yet". I'm worried he's skipping meals throughout the day too but I've stopped fighting for the perfect sit-down breakfast and started keeping easy grab-and-go stuff around instead. Fruit, yogurt, breakfast bars, whatever he'll realistically take with him. I'm also trying to get him to take more ownership of his morning routine instead of me reminding him about everything 20 times.
Parents of teens, what ridiculously easy breakfasts will yours eat before school? I need ideas because clearly my breakfast menu isn't cutting it.
