How to find privately owned studio apartments for rent

Ive asked Google in every phrase and wording combination to search for studio apartments literally anywhere in or around orlando. Everything it’s showing me is apartment complexes that I know will come with a boatload of frills and fees outside my budget. I’ve searched Craigslist and Facebook marketplace for weeks but no one responds or it’s just blatantly a scam. There has got to be another way. Anyone have any ideas?

Im looking for four walls and running water under $1200. Am I crazy to think that exists somewhere in a 35 mile radius of downtown?
