Is it less common to develop cancer in the remaining testicle if you had 4xEP or 4xBEP?
Today my oncologist told me that because I received 4xEP, I have less than a 2% chance of developing cancer in the other testicle, since you’re born with the cells that cause the cancer and the chemotherapy should have eliminated them. He also said that if cancer were to develop, it would likely be several years from now. I’m not sure if he said this just to reassure me because I’ve been so worried about my health.
Has anyone here received 4xEP or 4xBEP and then developed cancer in the other testicle?
Just out of curiosity, I started reading posts from people who lost their second testicle, and almost all of them had only been on surveillance after having their first testicle removed.
