Need help understanding how invite links work to friends for Minecraft Realms

Hey all,

I just got Minecraft Realms and I'm having a hard time (on their end) trying to get this to work where people can be invited. I don't have everyone on a friends list, we were trying to do it the alternate way by just using the invite link.

What is confusing is most of them are playing on consoles (not PC like me), so even if I send them the invite link through say text on the phone, how exactly do they enter the realm from there? Do they go onto their video game console version of Minecraft and are able to type that long string of invite code there?

This is for Bedrock edition, thanks for any clarification!
