Want to build a gaming PC (buying prebuilt is fine)
I have a macbook air for my work stuff so just looking for a PC that satisfies my gaming, leisure time, and handle a light load of work (excel sheets, documents, etc).
I currently have an alienware laptop that worked well initially, but after years, feels way too hot for comfort, and is slowing down. The battery is also essentially nonexistent and the laptop shuts off within a minute of being unplugged at full charge.
I don't know how to start and every time I try to understand what is needed to build a PC, I immediately get overwhelmed by all the names, seemingly random numbers, and all the different components. I really don't know what a lot of anything is so please forgive me. I am only exploring this option because people have told me it is cheaper than buying a prebuilt one.
- Games: Overwatch, Subnautica 2, Heavily modded Minecraft, Ror2, etc. A lot of graphics intensive games.
- Info:
- New build
- Have an HP 24w outside of the laptop. I would want a new one. I do not have a keyboard.
- Purpose is mainly gaming
- I am in the USA and close to a Microcenter.
- I am also wanting a nice monitor (the wide ones seem fun, but I dont feel strongly about wanting them).
- My budget is around $1300-$1600 USD for the PC. I am in the US and can get to a microcenter. (sort of flexible on budget, but not too much)
- I would need WiFi connection and wired if possible.
- No size/noise constraints
- Pink is a cool color (idrc about color)
- Any other specific needs? Needs bluetooth connections.
