What is wrong with 'The Most Sensational Game'?

Just started playing again and decided to do this expedition and I can't finish a single run because it's so buggy. One NPC got stuck searching for blood packs, then I couldn't throw tatos, and when I used all of my molotovs to throw at them instead, one of the NPCs got stuck and stood behind the pillory and soft locked me from finishing the expedition. Am I missing something or is this expedition just broken now?? I don't remember it being this buggy
