Epilepsy

I have epilepsy and I eventually want to have children. I’m wondering if epilepsy can be passed down to your kids and how safe pregnancy and childbirth are for someone with epilepsy. Did you have to change your seizure medication before or during pregnancy? Were there any extra precautions or complications?
