tips on how to make dye shorter-lasting

i just bought this “unicorn hair” hair dye (brand lime crime) in a nice pink color, and i was wondering how i could make it more temporary? im only planning on doing a few streaks in my hair which is light brown/dirty blonde, but looking online i saw that people said this hair dye lasted months, and classes are starting up again in a few weeks and i just wanted this fun hair for the end of summer. any tips on how to dilute it or any other brand recs?
