Roommate was "accidentally" transphobic

I dont know how tot talk to him about it without being very blunt as I was and im trying to figure out if some people are really that dense. So my roommate and I were talking about me wanting bottom surgery. He said something about not wanting his chopped off which is like whatever. But this totally hurt me that he said biologically it still won't change the fact I was born a guy and all that crap with God and that. Really annoyed me and when I told him he's being transphobic he thought just cause im his roommate it gives him a pass. Which made me think are people really not understanding how that stuff works. Like i moved in with this gay guy thinking i wouldn't have to deal with a transphobic person again in my life at least at my house and unfortunately I was totally wrong and now I wish I moved in to my own place where its peace and quiet every day. Like how is it i have the worst luck with people sometimes. Im debating on moving out after this lease is up because this guy in one month and cause a flare up in ptsd, a panic attack, transphobic and also in MY bedroom with the door locked so I couldn't take my meds on time. Truthfully I really regret my choices that led to this point. However I want to tell him how I feel on this because this is worse then i thought it was going to be when I first agreed.
