Rising Senior CS Feel Stuck, Embarrassed to get Career Help
I feel like I have wasted my opportunities here at Columbia. I'm class of 2027. I haven't done a real internship and my only experience is through research assistant positions and things in the university. I have a good GPA but I feel so embarrassed by my resume and lack of experience to the point where I am embarassed to go to CCE or an advisor. I feel like they'll just look at my resume and judge me for wasting my time? I also am not that passionate about CS, at least in terms of SWE. I like the data analyst side of it more, and in terms of coding I have enjoyed courses about AI and ML. But I know for AI/ML in order to get into grad school you have to have published or done notable research. All the RA work I have done I don't think is that impressive. And I am not even getting interviews for data analyst roles anyway so I am very lost on my career rn. Any advice and help would be appreciated.
