Allopurinol - Fear of SJS complications

Hi all! 31M here! Been having gout flares for the past 2 years. Recently it became really bad where i had back to back attacks on the same spot (arch of feet near the pinkie toe) within 2 weeks of each other.

I was prescribed allopurinol 100mg but decided to do some research beforehand. As a Chinese Singaporean, i saw many substantial evidence suggesting that this medication can have devastating side effects and wanted to understand from your experiences if I should take the risk, or if someone can share your experience if I am over thinking this…
