My boyfriend said he will always chose his parents over me.

Me (25) and my bf (29) have lived together for three years and have been dating for 5.

Recently his parents came to stay with us for the past three months and to say they have made our life hell is a understatement. Breaking my things without apologizing, taking up pretty much every inch of space, inviting strangers over while my bf is at work, using my soap, and loofah (gross) in the shower, eating my groceries and not replacing them, leaving dirty dishes out overnight, leaving un covered food out overnight, dirty buckets of mop water out (my dogs drink it so I asked nicely to not leave dirty mop water buckets around the house) After talking with my boyfriend about privacy, boundaries and general respect that his parents lack for me my boyfriend told me he will “always chose his parents over me no matter what” this was in response to me finding out his father openly had admitted he does not like me, and me replying saying “yeah I could tell by the way he treats me” is this a phrase I should be weary of? For reference his parents don’t speak English and I don’t speak their language very well so there is a communication gap between us but I feel like I’m not asking for the stars and moon just some decency and respect for my belongings. Reguardless of that I am kind of off put that my boyfriend said this to me. Is this normal? Do men generally put their parents above all else? We’ve talked about getting married in the next few years but idk that statement just threw me off because I’ve heard absolute horror stories about men who put their parents first.

**TL;DR;** : This is a sample summary of the TLDR rule, just copy the text in gray box. Is this going the right way?
