What helped you grieve after losing your cat? 💔🐾

I had to say goodbye to my 15 yr old cat Bella today, and I’m having a really hard time with it. She was such a big part of my life and my family, and the house already feels different without her.

For those who have lost a cat or another pet, what helped you with the grieving process? Did you make a photo book, get a keychain or jewelry with their picture, keep their ashes somewhere special, make a memorial, etc.? I’d love some ideas for ways to keep her memory close.

Also, how long did you wait before getting another pet? I know no animal could ever replace Bella, but I’m wondering if having another little companion eventually helped with the emptiness, or if you needed a lot of time first.
