Ai subtitles, can you set it so it is per sentence or per clip VS just character limit?

I use the AI subtitle feature ( I have studio if it makes a difference) and you can choose a maximum number of characters for the subtitles but I find it annoying that it often will finish off 1 sentence and start another and not align with either clips or sentences

Is there some way to adjust so that it automatically factors in clips and/or sentences other than manually adjusting it (which is what I'm currently doing it)
