Today’s travel sucks

I remember the good ol’ travel days…the 60’s…the70’s or 80’s. Travel agencies were bending over backwards to accommodate you..or..if a flight was cancelled or delayed, fight for you to get perks. Even counter personnel inside the airport tried to help you, in case some flights were cancelled or delayed. It seems that all of those pleasant memories went to shit in the 21st century! You call your hotel, to inform them of a delay…you get a guy from India or a girl from the Philippines that you simply cannot understand. You pick up a rental car a few hours earlier and you ask, if the hours are pro-rated, and the guy answers “yes”, without knowing what pro-rated means…and you get charged a full day!…you wonder why your Priceline or hotel.com booking was charged to you at 180 Dollars a night, when the walk in price is 90! And worse of all: you call an 800 number with ai answering…not knowing what the heck you’re talking about! Yes…I wish, the old days would come back…because right now, going forward, means going backwards!
