Wondering about my PSU

Hello! I recently bought this cyberpower PC to start my pc gaming journey, I had been having some issues with frame stutters, screen tearing slight issues, and overall slight stutters, and had started researching what could be causing these issues, I found some things that I tried that fixed these issues for the most part, but I saw that my PSU could be a factor in these issues and resolved to look at some new ones, I recently bought the Corsair RM1000x PSU to upgrade for longevity and for future upgrades as well as peace of mind. My family had told me that this was a dumb decision, and that my pc doesn’t at all need this upgrade, I was wondering what the opinions were from some experienced individuals who could maybe help me understand why it is or is not a good decision.

My specs are ryzen 7 9800x3d, RTX 5070, and 32 gb of DDR5 ram.
