You randomized traits, spend some time making a character, since you know the detriment now. If you die, click "create new character" without leaving the death screen. This will spanw you in the same world, same map parts uncovered, same things placed on the ground where you left them before. Before you turn into a zombie, lock yourself in a room you can find, come back with the new character, kill old you, and get all of your loot back. Then only skill points (which you're not too deep in yet) are reset. Even my girlfriend who doesn't watch people play games is loving watching you play this.

The trait list I used for help (from reddit and google AI, copy/pasted and slightly reworded):

"Free" Negative Points:

Weak Stomach: Dont eat rotten food.

High Thirst: Water is never an issue. You can find it in most buildings, and it takes 2 weeks to a month to go out, so plenty of time to build rain-collectors and stuff.

Thin Skinned: Don’t get bitten.

Conspicuous: You don’t really sneak anyway.

Prone to Illness: Don’t get bitten. CAN get a cold, but it's pretty rare.

Slow Healer: Don’t get bitten.

Short/near sighted: Pretty easy to deal with, You can give your character prescription glasses in character creation. Make sure to find and carry a spare in case you lose the first one.

Positive Goodies:

Fast Learner: Boosts overall experience gains for almost everything right from day one, making it one of the most reliable and powerful investments.

Organized: Increases storage capacity in inventories, trunks, and containers by 30%, which is a massive quality-of-life buff for gathering and hoarding materials.

Dextrous: Speeds up inventory item transfers, weapon shouldering, and fence/rope climbing significantly for a very low cost.

Athletic / Stout / Fit: Fitness and strength are the hardest and slowest skills to grind in-game. Starting with Athletic or Stout gives you immediate carry weight, knockback power, or endurance bonuses that take months of in-game exercising to reach otherwise.

Outdoorsman: Greatly reduces negative impacts from harsh weather and lowers the chance of getting scratched by trees when moving through forests.

Wakeful: Reduces the fatigue rate while active and allows for faster fatigue recovery when sleeping so you spend less time in bed.

Obviously, take what you want, but suggestions help with so many options, and I imagine you don't like the thought of reading through them all on stream.
