Am I right about the ending???

In the end as I understood, the ''Backrooms'' universe is a parallel universe that imitates our world in weird forms?

here were presented the same rooms, houses, items and even people that were in real world but just everything was ''wrong''.

So basically if you just do whatever you do, there is a parallel version of you in backrooms that is presented in a strange form? And as I understood it's of people who are severely traumatized?

So for example there was a shot of main character's ''parallel version'' sitting in exact pose and similar room, but everything was wrong, It imitated the real life version of her? so if you exist there's also an another version of you in that universe?
