AXF26 Franchise Mode is unplayable on Switch

I’ve started and restarted franchise mode multiple times. Once it lets me actually play a game in the mode (which, holy shit the controls suck and lag & playing on defense is completely worthless) it crashes every single time I exit after finishing the game! When I reload, it resets to the start of the 4th quarter and makes me play through it again. One time it made me play OT twice (despite the scoreboard acknowledging someone had won both times) before I just gave up and simulated the week, thinking it was just a temporary bug.

There’s no way in hell I’m going to attempt to do a season in this with ridiculous problems like this and I feel completely ripped off. This is little more than a glorified team editor and such a disappointment.
