We've left home, the dirt of our village still coating our boots, mottled with specks of straw and soot, our rough spun clothes smelling of the woodsmoke from our hearth and the mud of our mishappen and misaligned walls. A brother and sister, ever at a crossroads with one another, now set on a path away from the only home we've ever known, walking along a long ribbon of packed cobbles that lead directly to the capital of the greatest kingdom the world has ever known, and to the spires of the Aether Academy, where the most gifted witches and wizards train, defend, and die for the land.

But we are born of dirt and discarded, our magic raw and untamed, our potential so easily snuffed by our lack of prestige or privilege. This is our only change to make better of ourselves, to show we are made for more than farming, to prove to the world that grit is as good as gold. Most of all, to finally prove to the other that we are the superior sibling.

The academy will force us against one another, and we wouldn't have it any other way. Placement trials, chapter assignments, dungeons in which to delve. We fight and strive, ever to overshadow the other, and at the first opportunity, I'm going to show you just how small you are.

Hey everyone. I'm looking for a detailed, multi-para writer who wants to enjoy a complex plot with two siblings who, at the start of this story, will be totally opposed, but eventually grow closer. This plot has an almost shonen style, in which there will be a lot of fighting, conflict, and emotional development over its course.
