Why does everyone say the Ecoboost is slow???

Just curious. I own a 2026 Ecoboost fastback...and today was the first day I've ever raced anyone. They had a modified 2020 dodge charger V8. Not sure what was done to it, but they kept telling me at the gas station it was modified. Anyways, on normal roads, my slightly used Ecoboost hit 0-60 in 4.2 seconds, which apparently was enough to gap the charger 3 times

I constantly hear about how fast the charger r/T is, but...no one has ever told me an ecoboost is FAST...
