Need some advice on what to do moving out of a house but don’t have savings for closing costs and negative equity.
My fiance and I bought a home in a small town near my work with the intention of selling it for a profit after the city pops off from the massive development that’s coming here.
Shortly after I bought the house I ended up taking a massive pay cut and had to refinance to afford the bill which was about 3 months ago. So the amount on the loan is about 20k higher than when we bought it.
I can afford the bill. But money is tight and we’re paycheck to paycheck so I can’t afford to save up the closing costs.
But being out here away from family and friends has taken a lot bigger toll on our relationship then what we anticipated and we decided it would be best if we moved closer to family.
I understand that I will probably take some kind of hit to my credit and or have some of the loan left to pay off if it only sells less than what I owe. Just trying to find out what is the best path or option I have here to have the least impact financially and on credit. But staying in the house is not an option.
